Working out in front of your kids, and even better, WITH your kids, is one of the best examples you can set for them! I’ve been working out with my kids since they were babies. I started out going to Stroller Fitness classes when my 11 year old was just 6 weeks old. I loved it so much that I became a Stroller Fitness Instructor!

With childhood obesity rates skyrocketing since the pandemic, it’s crucial that parents are setting examples of good health and exercise for their children. It’s the worst it’s ever been. With virtual learning and schools shutting down, some children aren’t getting any exercise or steps, they’re literally sitting on a computer all day, eating junk food at home and not getting enough sleep. It’s destroying their little bodies.

What’s your excuse for not exercising? Working out doesn’t have to be hard and doesn’t have to be expensive. It doesn’t require fancy equipment or a gym membership. A few weeks ago I led a workout for kids outside the pool at my apartment. It was a basic workout that I do with adults all the time, but each exercise can be modified for children.
