I can’t believe Blakesley is 2 and a half now! January 30th came and went and I completely forgot! She has changed so much over the last 6 months and I seriously beam with pride every day over this bright little girl! She is so eager to learn and I love her zest for life! She wakes up each and every morning in the best mood. Blakesley loves her sleep and averages about 13 hours of sleep a night plus a 2-3 hour nap every day. Her love for sleep reminds me of Cora at this age. Every morning when she wakes up she is eagerly begging for a peanut butter bar and chocolate pea milk. Some days we give her the bar ( with fruit! ) but not the chocolate milk! She also has to get dressed right away and begs to be “pretty” and wear a dress. She loves getting dressed up, and always wants her hair in braids with a bow. She also immediately asks if we are going to the gym, one of her favorite places. If I tell her it is a school day, she will clap and say “YAY!”
Blakesley loves routine and a schedule. She asks a lot of questions about a lot of things and always wants to know where everybody is and what everybody is doing. “Dodo ( Cora ), Sonoma, school?” “Daddy work??” “Mommy gym??” It’s so cute. She can count to 10, and even 18 with skipping some numbers. She loves for me to sing Ba Ba Black Sheep, Hush Little Baby, Rockabye Baby, I see the Moon and You are my Sunshine while snuggling every night before bed. She loves reading books and playing with her barbie and baby in the bath tub. She loves her purple paci and her pagume ( cat pillow ). Blakesley always wants to play with her sissies and will do whatever they are doing. She doesn’t like to play independently which can be challenging on the days I am home alone with her and trying to get things done. She just wants to be around her family 🙂
Though she has showed every sign that she is ready to be potty trained, I am unfortunately being selfish and waiting until April because we are traveling almost every weekend until then. The life of a third kid…….
I cannot imagine life without this sweet little girl. She makes my heart so happy and I love her beyond words!
