In January we went on an eagle watching tour at Lake Monroe in Bloomington. It was something we thought would be really neat to do since my Dad loved eagles. There were 8 stops that we drove to and although we missed the live eagles at all of the stops, it was still really cool. We saw a live eagle that they had rescued inside the nature center, along with some other birds.
After the eagle watching tour, we took my Mom out to dinner for her birthday!
After what felt like 49 days in January, we finally ended the long month with a trip down to Nashville for one of Sonoma’s gymnastics meets! It was “Nashville Nights” at the Opryland Hotel which is such a beautiful spot! It was so cold the week of the meet, that the girls ended up missing 3 days of school! We ended up not having to call Sonoma out of school for the meet, which was the original plan. Just my Mom, Sonoma and I made the trip to Tennessee.
Sonoma did such a great job! She placed 1st on beam, 3rd on bars, 3rd on vault and 3rd all-around!
Goodbye, January!
