Cora Brighton had her very first dance recital last night. She practiced for over 6 months at ballet and jazz and worked so hard week after week. To see little Cora up on a huge stage in a big performance was something else. We were so proud of her. She was positive, had a big smile on her face the entire time, and never stopped. A while back she asked me, “Mommy, what happens if I forget my routine?” I told her that my Great Grandma used to always say, “Keep on Keepin’ On.” And the past week she kept telling me she was going to “keep on keepin’ on.” She did awesome. I was so nervous leading up to her performance. She was in the 23rd group, so there was quite a bit of waiting around. We surprised her afterwards with roses and a bear. She was super excited!
Leading up to the recital she had pictures and a dress rehearsal. So we got to practice hair, makeup and being in her costume two different times. |

We took Cora out for pizza to celebrate afterwards. We are beyond proud of you, Cora! You were born to shine!
