Fall has always been my favorite time of year for a variety of reasons. I can’t believe it is almost mid-October though! The leaves are beginning to change, the pumpkins are out, and I am trying to take in all of the Fall beauty!
We kicked off the first weekend in October with a trip to Keeneland for the opening weekend Fall meet! Marcus has always said that Keeneland is his favorite place on Earth! This was my 3rd time, my 2nd time in October and now I can see why. It’s just so beautiful. We had the pleasure of staying the night for the very first time at The Kentucky Castle, a picturesque castle in the middle of Versailles, Kentucky! We stayed in one of the four corner towers, and our dear friends Marc and Stephanie came with us, and stayed in another corner tower. We had a lovely time. The restaurant there is amazing and it’s such an incredible experience.
It was just 24 hours away, but it was perfect! 🙂 🙂
We came home and headed straight to the pumpkin patch with the girls. This year was so much fun since it is the first Fall that Blakesley is walking! She was so cute picking out her pumpkins and gourds.
In September, Cora spent a weekend by herself with Grandma and T. Sonoma did the same thing a few years back when she was 6!
Cora went to an IU volleyball game, had a campfire and s’mores, made homemade applesauce and went shopping at Hobby Lobby!
Meanwhile, I started a neighborhood Bunco group and hosted the first one!
