Five years ago, I celebrated 30 years of the Indianapolis Colts at our Cheerleading Reunion.
It’s hard to believe that we just had another one and that five years have actually gone by. So much has changed since that reunion!
I think my favorite part of this reunion was the fact that my two oldest daughters were able to watch me perform! They absolutely loved it and I loved having them there. It was so great for them to see a glimpse into a part of my life that they weren’t a part of all those years ago. They never knew their Mom as an NFL Cheerleader. I loved performing – it brought back so many great, special memories. It was really sad to perform and not have my Dad there. I realized that this was the first time ever in my life I have performed or participated in a sport or event that my Dad was not there to watch. There was certainly a void. In addition to Sonoma and Cora, I loved having Marcus, my Mom, Sister and her family all there to support me. I am already looking forward to the 40th reunion because I will be 40 (gasp!) years old, and Blakesley will be old enough to come watch the game and enjoy it!
The Colts went above and beyond to make it a super special event. It was 4 days packed full of practicing, a dinner and event, getting together to share memories, stories, pictures and performing. I loved every minute of it!

Kristie and I cheered together 15 years ago and now we are business partners! |
I loved the dinner and event downtown because they had all of the different uniforms from throughout the years on display!
My cousin, Christy and I! Exactly 20 years apart in age! So fun to experience these reunions together. |
Watching the current cheerleaders perform after our dinner
It just so happened that Marcus was putting on the Colts Kick-off Concert sponsored by Bud Light the same night as our dinner. We were able to leave the dinner and enjoy the concert! So much fun! |
Erin and have been best friends for 23 years. The fact that we were both able to be cheerleaders together in the NFL was absolutely amazing. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! |
He’s supported me since we started dating back when I was cheering! |
Oh, my heart!! The three little loves of my life!

This good luck note that Sonoma made me from the family was something that meant the absolute world to me. Feeling support from my girls was such a sweet feeling. Knowing that they were proud of me brought tears to my eyes.
I will always cherish this! |
Marcus was able to get my Mom and the girls down on the field before the game. What a cool experience!

I will forever cherish these memories!
