Wrapping up August with activities, events and non-stop fun! August is right up there with December and May as the absolute craziest months. I didn’t realize this until I had two kids in school. I can only imagine in a few years with all 3 in school!
We went to the State Fair a couple weeks ago with my Mom and the girls.
Marcus had tickets through work, so that was really nice we were able to experience it all for free!
We are on activity overload right now, but the girls are happy. Blakesley is wrapping up her swim lessons, and we all went to watch her and cheer her on a couple of weeks ago!

She was so excited we were watching her!! |
Sonoma started golf lessons! She also signed up to be in her school’s “Singspiration Choir!” I am excited to have her try other activities, especially one that is at her school. Luckily, it is a before-school commitment, so it won’t interfere with her gymnastics. She has been at the gym 12 hours a week at normal practices + some extra time with private lessons on the weekend. She is such a hard worker and I admire her deeply!
Soaking up the last few times swimming this Summer! |
Blakesley enjoys all things Frozen when she has free time!
Cora is getting ready to start a new gymnastics class, as well as Daisies and a Theatre class this Fall!
Both Sonoma and Cora are in Piano lessons and so far loving them!

We had a parent-teacher night at school and I saw this picture that Sonoma made. Ha! |
I forgot to mention: I turned 35 last week! |
My girlfriends Karen and Stephanie wanted to take me out after our Parent night at the school. I thought it was just going to be a few girls, and I was shocked to find 8 girls there at the restaurant!! We did appetizers and drinks on the patio at Italian House. It was SUCH a fun night and I felt very loved.
On my actual birthday I did some shopping with Blakesley and then I met my Mom and Sister at Public Greens for lunch. It was really yummy!
Beautiful flowers from my dear friend Erin in Chicago! |
Dinner out at Old Spaghetti Factory in Carmel with the family! |
Followed by cupcakes at home from the Flying Cupcake! |
Blakesley LOVES the gym and is always so proud of the crafts she makes there. I can’t say enough good things about the Kids Zone at the Monon Center! |
Corn on the Cob with Grandma and T! |
Marcus and his Bud Light team put on the Jake Owen concert at the legendary Slippery Noodle Inn for the Bud Light “Live at the Dive” Concert tour. It was AMAZING!!!
Such a fun, intimate show with just a few hundred people there. |
Okay, I am exhausted just re-writing the last couple of weeks, HA!! Our family has another busy week of parent meetings for school and gymnastics, events, travel for work and every day life raising 3 girls. Love this life and I am ever so grateful!
