The last few weeks of December now seem like a big blur! There was SO much packed into the days leading up to Christmas and we tried to cherish it all, but it always goes by so fast.

Before Christmas, Sonoma competed in the North Pole Classic Gymnastics meet in Franklin.

While it wasn’t her best performance or meet, she had fun, and still placed on Vault and Beam.

The weekend before Christmas we traveled to Bloomington to celebrate with Marcus’ family.
We received wonderful presents and had a fun time, even though there was a lot of sickness. Poor Blakesley got sick on Saturday and threw up about 15 times. Sonoma got sick on Sunday and threw up too. Then, Marcus’ Mom ended up getting sick too 🙁 I felt so bad for everyone. Sonoma missed Christmas Eve at my Mom’s and we were all very sad.
Pizza and Popcorn still came to visit us! |
Mom and I went to the IU Basketball game on Saturday night, my first IU game back in a couple of years. I absolutely love Assembly Hall as it is filled with memories of my Dad and I going to games my whole childhood. And, then of course, cheering at IU in college. I just love that place so much.

We visited Great Grandpa
We left Sonoma at Grandma and T’s since she was sick, and the rest of us went to my Mom’s for Christmas Eve.
We celebrated my Aunt and Uncle’s engagement! 🙂
Unfortunately, we left my Mom’s driveway and Blakesley got sick again, all over the car. It was definitely not the Christmas we had hoped for, but it could have been worse.
We made it home to set out milk and cookies and carrots for Santa and the reindeer, and we sprinkled reindeer food all over the lawn.
