It’s so hard to believe that Sonoma will be turning 7 years old in just 2 days. Naturally, I am an emotional mess about my 1st baby getting so old, as I am frantically trying to get everything ready for her birthday. I’ve been absolutely drowning in emails, paperwork and phone calls from banks, realtors, etc. Buying and selling a house is beyond stressful. Marcus is at a conference this week and he prepares to leave next week for the Derby. I’ve been swamped with my R+F business and also trying to hold down the fort at home. Marcus said it best…..things will get harder before they get easier. I’m so blessed for this beautiful life that I have, but I am definitely drowning right now. I can’t keep up with anything. The good news is that we made an offer on a house and they ACCEPTED! We have a home! Continued prayers for the rest of the process…….details to come!
I have been so sad this week that my Dad won’t be here for Sonoma’s birthday celebration. For 7 years my Dad was there – from her birth in the hospital and every single birthday party after that. Birthdays 1-6. He never missed one. I can’t imagine having her birthday without my Dad there.
The moment my Dad became a Grandfather. I will never forget. |

Yesterday was 6 years since Marcus had his stroke. 6 years since one of the scariest times of our life and we are stronger because of what we went through. Strokes can happen to anyone, at any age, and we are passionate about educating others and doing the best we can to keep our family healthy. Marcus and I are the healthiest we have ever been, and I am so proud of the life we have designed together for ourselves and our daughters.
I saw the bald eagle yesterday at Mooseheart. |
Poor Cora….always falling asleep in the car, and always has her shoes on the wrong feet. I love this girl with so much of my heart it hurts! |
Blakesley is out of control happy, on the move, and in full on teething mode. She makes me smile on days when all I want to do is cry. |
Tomorrow is Friday….thank goodness. And tomorrow begins the many birthday celebrations of Miss Sonoma Danielle. Bring on the weekend fun!
